 JEWELRY

  • What materials do you use?

 

All beadwork jewelry pieces are handmade with glass seed beads and waxed thread or copper wire. Sculpted jewelry pieces are sculpted from cold porcelain and glazed. All earring posts, hoops, and findings are stainless steel. Materials are indicated in the product descriptions.

  • Are your earrings safe for sensitive ears?

 

Yes. All posts and hoops are stainless steel, so they should be safe for sensitive ears. All metal findings are also stainless steel and are safe for sensitive skin.

​

  • Are the earrings heavy?

 

No, they're very lightweight, weighing between 2 to 6 grams.

​

  • How long does it take to make a pair of earrings?

 

Depending on the design, beaded pieces could take anywhere between 2 to 8 hours per pair, sometimes up to 12 hours for more intricate pieces. Sculpted pieces are crafted over a span of days.

 SHIPPING â€‹

  • When will my order ship?

 

Orders for ready-made pieces will ship out in 7-10 business days. Business days do not include weekends or holidays. Production time for made-to-order pieces is between 2 to 4 weeks, depending on design complexity and order quantity.

​

If you need your order by a certain date, please let me know ASAP so I can prioritize it. Please bear in mind minimum production time for priority made-to-order items is 2-4 weeks, depending on quantity and design complexity. Una Artesana is a one-woman band, and I make each and every piece by hand myself. No rushing please.

Custom orders have a lead time of 3 to 5 weeks
after your design is finalized and approved, and after full payment has been made.

  • Where are you based? Do you ship internationally?

    I'm based in Cebu City, Philippines. Yes, I ship internationally through DHL and MyKartero.
     

  • How long does it take for an order to arrive?

 

Local Orders (within the Philippines): Local provincial orders are shipped through LBC and take between 5 to 7 days to be delivered. Orders within Cebu are delivered via Lalamove, with the delivery fee to be paid by the customer upon delivery.

 

International Orders: Orders shipped through DHL take between 5 to 7 days to be delivered. Orders sent through MyKartero take between 12 to 21 days to be delivered. Please note that there may be delays in shipping due to the pandemic. Shipping fees are automatically calculated at checkout.

About MyKartero: MyKartero is a local shipping aggregator that partners with Singapore Post and PostNord to ship international packages. Once a package reaches its destination country, it will be delivered by your local postal service. Please visit MyKartero for more information.​

​

  • Prices do not reflect taxes or duties that may be incurred during shipment. These vary in every country, and are to be shouldered by the customer.

​

  • Una Artesana has no control over your order once it has been shipped out. Una Artesana cannot be held responsible, nor provide refunds for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged during shipment. Please make sure your address and contact details are correct to avoid problems during shipping. All orders are provided with tracking information once shipped out.

 ORDERS

  • Do you take custom orders?

 

Customs are currently closed.

​

  • Will you be doing regular drops or stocking ready-made items?

​

Designs will be released on a quarterly basis with a mix of ready-made and made-to-order pieces. Please note that the number of pieces available per design are limited due to the time-consuming and labor-intensive nature of both beaded and sculpted jewelry, and for the reasons stated below.

​

  • Why are jewelry pieces limited?

​

Beading and good quality jewelry materials are hard to come by in the Philippines. Keeping the number of pieces limited per drop minimizes waste and unsold stock, and helps me save materials to create new designs for you!

​

  • Why aren't all designs available during shop updates?

​

Una Artesana has grown so much since I first launched it at the end of 2020, and there are now so many designs across three major collections. I am a one-woman operation, and as much as I would like to, I cannot keep creating multiple pieces of each design every time there's a shop update.

​

Having a different collection available every quarter will keep production time manageable, limit waste, and it will give me more time to continue to research and develop new designs for you.

  • Why are designs discontinued after orders close?

​

More than just a jewelry brand, Una Artesana is also an art practice. My goal is to continue to grow as a jewelry artist and to learn different materials and jewelry-making techniques. Being a one-woman show means my time is limited, and I would like to spend it developing and creating beautiful new jewelry collections for you, rather than making the same designs over and over again.

​

Don't worry though, you may see your favorite designs return in future collection releases! The best way to stay up to date is by signing up to the newsletter.

​

  • Is _____ available? / Can I preorder a sold out design?

​

If you don't see a particular design in the shop, then it's not available to order. No, I do not take custom orders or preorders for sold out designs at the moment.

​

  • Do you accept returns or refunds?

 

No. Due to the intimate nature of these jewelry pieces, all sales are considered final.

​

  • A note on payments:

​

The shop payment options include PayPal, GCash, and BPI bank transfer. Payments made through GCash or bank transfer must be paid within one (1) hour of placing your order. If payment is not made within that time, your slot will be automatically canceled and will go to another customer.

​

  • I'm a retailer and am interested in carrying your pieces. Do you take wholesale orders?

 

Please get in touch for wholesale inquiries. Please note I am not open to rebranding. All designs are owned by me under the name Una Artesana.

 JEWELRY CARE 

​

     Beadwork jewelry pieces are handwoven with glass beads, which are delicate in nature. Please handle your piece gently and with care. Keep separate from other jewelry to avoid tangling and scratches. Avoid dropping or putting under heavy weight as the beads may break. Please keep your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

​

     To straighten out fringes, gently massage and hang from an earring holder or lay flat. Do NOT pull.

​

     Sculpted pieces have a glaze coating which will not react well to water. Wetting your sculpted piece may cause the glaze to deteriorate. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing, and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Please keep away from water, moisture, perfumes, lotions, oils, and other household chemicals. Be gentle with your jewelry and avoid dropping them or putting under heavy weight as your piece may break.

     Metal components are stainless steel. Gold-tone stainless steel may naturally wear or oxidize over time. Depending on personal pH levels of skin, some people may experience jewelry wear more quickly than others. To keep metal components in good condition, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Avoid exposure to moisture, perfumes, lotions or oils, and household chemicals. Please keep away from water. Store in an airtight ziplock bag or container to prevent oxidization.

  • Can I swim with my jewelry?

​

No. Please do not swim, bathe, or expose your jewelry to water or moisture.

​

  • What will happen to my jewelry if it gets wet?

​

Bead woven pieces are woven with waxed thread. If your jewelry piece gets wet, the moisture will damage the wax coating and cause the thread to deteriorate, which in turn will weaken the piece and may lead to breakage.

 

Sculpted jewelry pieces have a glaze coating which will react and deteriorate after coming in contact with water. Please do NOT wet your jewelry.

  • What can I do if my jewelry gets wet?

​

In case your jewelry accidentally gets wet, gently pat with a soft, dry cloth and lay flat on a dry towel in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight until completely dry. Do NOT blow dry or leave under the sun.
