The Story:

The atis, also called sugar apple or sweetsop, is a deliciously sweet fruit that is notoriously hard work to eat. Its fruity flesh is full of little black seeds that one must pick out or spit out as they eat. This fruit typically appears during the rainy season between July to September.

The Fruits of the Philippines is a collection of popular Filipino fruits, including mango, guava, makopa, and more! Each little fruit is inspired by traditional folktales about each fruit’s origin. Read them here.

Each piece is handwoven by yours truly using tiny glass beads. It took me nearly 6 months to perfect each fruit, as I really wanted to get the proportions of our native fruits just right. This collection is a labor of love, and my way of sharing Filipino stories with the world.

Size: Drops 2 cm

Materials: Glass seed beads, freshwater pearls waxed thread, stainless steel earring studs or hoops. Stainless steel findings make these safe for sensitive ears.

This item ships out September 20. If you need your order sooner, please get in touch and refer to the FAQ for more info.
