This collection is inspired by our popular native fruits and the legends behind them.
The Story:
The Prutas series is a collection of popular Filipino fruits, including mango, guava, makopa, and more! Each little fruit is inspired by traditional folktales about each fruit’s origin. Read them here.
Each piece is handwoven by yours truly using tiny glass beads. It took me nearly 6 months to perfect each fruit, as I really wanted to get the proportions of our native fruits just right. This collection is a labor of love, and my way of sharing Filipino stories with the world.
Pick seven fruits of your choice! Go crazy and pick one of each, or commit to your most favorite fruit. Personally I think an all-mango one would be awesome!
Size: Each charm measures about 1.5 cm. Necklace measures 16 inches plus 2 inch extender chain, but can be extended to 18 inches plus 2 inch extender chain.
Materials: Glass seed beads, waxed thread, gold-tone stainless steel bracelet. Stainless steel findings make these safe for sensitive ears.
