About the Collection
“Langit”, meaning sky in Filipino, is a collection of hand‑beaded jewelry inspired by the celestial bodies the ancient Filipinos worshipped as deities. Part I takes inspiration from stories from the Visayan creation myth – how the sun, moon, and stars came to be, why the sun and moon are never together, and more. Part II is inspired by the Visayan deities who control the weather. Each piece tells a story from our ancient ancestors, honoring their history and our culture and heritage.
