This collection is inspired by our popular native fruits and the legends behind them.
The Story:
The original Calamansi Earrings took a whopping 10 hours to weave, so I finally decided to retire that design. But I know how much you loved them so I created a smaller version! These new earrings feature a calamansi fruit and blossom for a daintier, fun tropical look!
The Prutas series is a collection of popular Filipino fruits, including mango, guava, makopa, and more! Each little fruit is inspired by traditional folktales about each fruit’s origin. Read them here.
Each piece is handwoven by yours truly using tiny glass beads. It took me nearly 6 months to perfect each fruit, as I really wanted to get the proportions of our native fruits just right. This collection is a labor of love, and my way of sharing Filipino stories with the world.
Size: 3 cm drop.
Materials: Glass seed beads, waxed thread, stainless steel posts and backs. Stainless steel findings make these safe for sensitive ears.
